Jumpstart is a program designed to give Kindergarten bound students who attended JEH the additional support needed to prepare them for Kindergarten readiness. Students identified as needing additional academic support to prepare for Kindergarten are invited to participate. Students are selected through a combination of GOLD data review and teacher recommendation. Learning focus will be on Literacy, Math and Social Emotional Learning.
4 Paraprofessional or Non-Instructional Aide positions; at least 1 needs to be Bilingual Spanish
Role Responsibilities: Support students with IEPs or otherwise identified needs in an inclusion setting. This may include supporting students in a 1-1 role or supporting up to 3 students in one classroom.
Program Details:
Orientation Dates: June 6 & June 7
Program Dates: June 10, 2024 - July 11, 2024 (no school June 19 and July 4th)
Days of the Week: Monday-Thursday
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: JEH Early Childhood Center
Stipend: $1,750 (includes $150 for orientation)
