We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our Windows laptop backup solution, provide Windows support, manage company laptops, iphones and ensure efficient device management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on backup solutions, Windows support, and device provisioning.

Responsibilities:

A. Windows Laptop Backup Solution:

  • Implement and maintain image backup solutions for Windows laptops onto a dedicated local server.
  • Configure and manage locally encrypted, continuous backups for ongoing file backups during daytime operations, ensuring a target delta of less than 30 minutes.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage multiple backup services, including commercial systems and free software solutions such as Ghost, Acronis, Clonezilla, Backblaze, or Carbonite, ensuring they meet encryption and performance requirements (AES 256 encryption or better).
  • Ensure easy and convenient recovery onto spare backup devices for efficient disaster recovery procedures.

B. Windows Support:

  • a. Provide support for Outlook, including managing local PST files and iPhone syncing for Email, Contacts, and Calendar.
  • b. Address frequently encountered Office issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • c. Handle exotic file system support with Windows, including managing long path names.

C. Company Laptop (Lenovo Thinkpads) and Iphones

  • a. Manage the provisioning of company laptops, including setup and configuration.
  • b. Provide ongoing support for company laptops and iphones; troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance.

D. Device Management Experience:

  • a. Implement and maintain remote support solutions for efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • b. Develop and implement procedures for handling lost devices, including remote wipe and recovery processes.

E. Onboard/Offboard Experience and Process Knowledge:

  • Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including device setup and configuration.

Asses and recommend future infrastructure for the company

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on backup solutions, Windows support, and device management.
  • Some experience maintaining Linux environment nice to have
  • Proficiency in managing backup solutions such as Ghost, Acronis, Clonezilla, Backblaze, or Carbonite.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting Outlook, Office issues, and exotic file system support.
  • Experience with Lenovo Thinkpads, ipHones and device management solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
