**Description**
Position Summary:
The Barista is responsible for the preparation and sale of menu items to be sold in the communitys bistro caf. Takes orders, processes customers bills, and handles cash transactions. Maintains receipts and records. Responsible for maintaining inventory, reporting supply needs, storing, labeling and dating all leftovers. Maintains cleanliness of entire bistro area, including refrigerator/freezer, preparation area and eating area.
Position Responsibilities include:
A. Prepares and sells bistro items, provides excellent customer service.
B. Handles cash transactions, maintains receipts.
C. Maintains inventory for bistro.
D. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
Education:
High school education or vocational training preferred.
Training and Experience:
One to two years experience working as a Cook Assistant or similar position, restaurant background preferred.
All staff that provide direct care to residents will have current first aid training.
Job Knowledge:
Must have a good knowledge of coffee and sandwich preparation and presentation.
