CNC Machinist As the CNC Machinist you will program, operate and maintain the set-ups of conventional and CNC machines and tools. You will perform a variety of machining operations and modify / write CNC programs when required. You will provide lower-level programing and machining support. Your Challenge: Write and prove out CNC programs when required Required programming to consist of a low level of complexity; typically, two and three axis tool paths Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability Manufactures and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machining equipment) Assist and instruct others in proper set-up procedures Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level Your Expertise: High school or equivalent 4-6 years' experience working as a CNC Machinist Manual Machinist experience an asset Aptitude for detail and accuracy High level of competency in PC based software including Windows, CAD, CAM (SmartCAM preferred) Good Interpersonal, oral/written communication and customer service skills High level of problem-solving skills to research available resources with strategic thinking to ensure an organized environment Persistence required to ensure workflow is maintained, and should have self-management, initiative, dependability, and time management qualities and attributes #LI-SJ1 #IND Compliance Statement This position may require exposure to export-controlled information and subject to additional security screening.
