Position Purpose / Summary:

The weekend operations manager oversees the receipt and shipping of all inbound and outbound freight on the weekend shift. This position is responsible for organizing and scheduling the workflow for the pick and pack operations, as well as maintaining inventory control. The ideal candidate for this position will have a working knowledge of computers, Oracle while analyzing system data and knowledge of transportation software, as well as experience managing personnel with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:

Supervises the daily work and safety of employees engaged in receiving, replenishing and storing inbound product, including all warehouse functions, receivers and forklift operators.

Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments.

Managing picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.

Verify required inbound paperwork with teams, ensuring that all product is properly counted.

Able to follow daily schedule while monitoring and using on-hand materials.

Provide daily shift notes to Director and VP of Distribution.

Create, review, and understand all Standard Operation Procedures.

Maintain well organized files.

Create a positive work environment and develop ownership in department operations with associates.

Maintain a Safe, Organized, Clean and Secure environment (Dock/Inside and Outside).

Issue representative errors and coach/develop representatives in order to reduce future errors.

Communicate department expectations to all employees.

Work well under pressure in fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience Requirements:

3-5 years warehouse management experience.

Experience and working knowledge of warehouse systems.

Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office software.

Work schedule is Friday-Monday.

English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
