Job Description
Position Summary
Provides security at a large office complex. Must maintain a professional image demonstrate positive behaviors in keeping the objectives of the company's welfare. Must be able to take direction from supervisor and able to maintain positive relationships with all management & non-management associates.
Shift: 12 AM - 8 AM Saturday - Wednesday (Off Thursday & Friday)
Essential Job Functions
Enforces all security and life safety policies, rules and procedures, which are set forth by Building Management & Tenant. (25%) Monitors computerized Access Control, CCTV Systems and responding to intrusion and Hold-Up (panic) alarms. Remain aware and alert at all times to potential security breaches. Security Screening of all visitors to the building. (25%) Monitoring computerized Elevator Management System and responding to Elevator Telephone Intercom System (5%) Processing and accessing tenants and visitors into the building daily, this includes validating of ID cards and recording the information on sign-in sheets and issuing building passes. (25%) Answering of the Lobby Desk telephone and recording messages for building management and staff. Checking Property Removal Passes for tenant property leaving building (10%) Preparing and submitting detailed incident reports to the Life Safety/Security Supervisor or any person in the aforementioned reporting hierarchy. (5%) Responds to tenant complaints & concerns. (5%)

Internal contacts include: Fire Safety Director and Life Security Safety Director to receive assignments, Tenants to respond to complaints and concerns.
External contacts include: Prospective tenants and Building visitors to validate identities and assist in their security needs.
Education
A high school diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
Also is a NYS Security/unarmed guard license.
Experience
In addition to the education outlined above, at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in 3 is required.

Requirements - Union Membership:
This hire will be required to join Local 670 Security Union and maintain all union requirements inclusive of training, costs, etc.
Compensation & Benefits:
Per Local 670 Union contract, employee will be at $15.00 per hour for first year of employment. From there, they will receive an increase and will be around $21.00 per hour. Employees are paid weekly in arrears. Overtime compensation is paid to non-exempt employees in accordance with federal and state wage (including hourly salary rates) laws
Benefits are available, including a pension plan, and such details will be provided and administrated through Local 670 union.
