Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Medical Center Operations will be responsible for providing daily management and coordination of operations to the clinic managers and sexual health clinic team. This position will ensure compliance and standardization of medical center operations policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for identifying areas in need of process improvement and developing implementation plans around activities related to practice management, clinical quality improvement and administrative services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to: supervising; relationship building; traveling; driving and having reliable transportation; utilizing computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, calendar, email and Epic (EMR) in performing work assignments.
Salary: $84,500-$105,600
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
•Oversee the business and clinical sides of 4 medical centers located in Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati
•Direct oversight of clinic managers and administrative clinic staff (including sexual health clinic staff).
•Includes hiring, coaching, terminating, and recruiting, as well as other administrative management functions, such as payroll and expense management.
•Close collaboration with dental team that does business in two of the medical centers
•Acts a subject matter expert for guidance and coaching of daily operations for clinic managers
•Overall development of the medical practice, in concert with long term strategic goals of the organization and day to day needs of the clinics •Execute on provider onboarding plans and create communication channels that share provider relations opportunities
•Collaborate with Clinical Operation Educator to ensure standard and effectives procedures are performed by the clinical support team consisting of RNs, LPNs and MAs
•Responsible for ensuring the Clinic Managers coordinate effective and efficient onboarding practices for providers and all support staff
•Develop medical center policies and procedures in compliance with Federal, State and Equitas Health standards. Train direct reports and ensure that staff in medical centers are trained in related policies and procedures. Ensure all sites are able to work in an efficient and consistent manner.
•Compliance with Patient Centered Medical Home certification requirements
•Close collaboration with Manager of Medical Center Shared Services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations
•Identify opportunities and implement new workflows to reduce variation, reduce cost, improve access and improve quality
•Evaluate performance and competency of assigned staff
•Manage geographically distant direct reports.
•Collaborate with other members of the healthcare operations team to identify best practices and opportunities to enhance operations and improve efficiencies
•Maintains and develops strong working relationships with local, regional, and national agencies involved in HIV and LGBTQ healthcare.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
•Bachelors in Healthcare Management/Administration with administrative experience
•Masters in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration a plus
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in working in a direct healthcare environment.
•Minimum of three (3) years of outpatient clinic management experience •Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
•Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, and a demonstrated competence and interest in working with persons of the transgender community or non-gender conforming community
•Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and other computer applications required
•Regular and predictable attendance is required
•Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
