EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is Hiring a Placement Specialist (2023) - Reverse Flow Near Carmel, IN

Summary
The Placement Specialist role is focused on assisting The majority of the role is spent on quoting submissions for SBU Producers. Agents submit applications to the Placement team and under the direction of the Placement Team Lead the Placement Specialist will rate online and/or submit to carriers with goal of returning bindable quotes to our Producers. There is no direct sales and no servicing of in force business.
Placement Responsibilities
  • Review all new business applications assigned to Placement Specialist.
  • Follow up with Producers to obtain any missing info and/or receive clarification needed to quote the account.
  • Market account directly to the carrier underwriters or generate new business quotes using online rating tools.
  • Review and compare quotes to the coverages requested.
  • Request issuance or bind coverages online with the carriers and provide applications along with any additional info & forms. This could include finance agreements.
  • Appropriately transition the account to the Service team
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our underwriters and carrier representatives. This may require some travel and in-person meetings with company personnel.
  • Proper recordkeeping and updates given to Placement Team Lead for reporting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Remarketing Responsibilities
  • Request quotes and provide information on identified renewal accounts to our panel carriers.
  • Keeping the Producer and/or Account Manager informed and included in the communication, provide letters and quotes to the insureds within the appropriate timeline.
  • Bind coverages with the carriers and appropriately communicate with AM/Producer.
  • Proper recordkeeping and data in excel format.
  • Attend meetings and provide updates as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working with multiple carriers & online quoting.
  • 3-5 years of Marketing/Placement experience preferred.
  • Coverage knowledge pertinent to various industries is helpful.
  • Ability to think creatively with in-depth problem-solving skills.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask.
  • Property & Casualty License required.
