Project Coordinator
As the Project Coordinator (PC) you will utilize your organizational skills to manage retail installation projects for Pella Doors & Windows of Northern California. In the PC role you will respond to customer and vendor inquiries, resolve pending issues, and promote positive customer engagement.
What You’ll Do:
•Interact with customers and vendors via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on residential projects.•Investigate installation issues and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve questions or conflicts to the best interests of the business and our customers.•Communicate and support the Retail team, including Finance/Warehouse and Order Administration.•Maintain customer accounts and facilitate responses to internal and external inquiries or feedback.•Create and distribute project schedules according to contract specifications with accuracy and efficiency.•Outline project tasks and delegate accordingly.•Collect customer payments, review project costs, certification of completions and works closely with the installation teams.•Prepare and issue work orders and ensure product documentation is complete.•Create project floor plans, submit permit applications, communicate and coordinate with building departments in person, via email and over the phone.•Manage and track recoveries and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.•Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
•You are a communicator, both in written and verbal form, with the ability to develop trust.
•You have strong problem-solving skills and thrive on small details, comfortable with basic calculations andmeasurements.
•You enjoy collaborating with others and learning new skills.
•You have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
•You can prioritize tasks and manage interruptions
•You are pro-active, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through tocompletion.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience a plus. Will be expected to develop proficiency inPella proprietary software.
•Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years customer service and project coordination experience or 3 years equivalentwork experience. Knowledge of the construction industry a plus.
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk (stand-up desks onsite) and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds at times.
