Job Description
The Pre-Billing Coordinator will ensure the proper preparation and accountability of post-acute clinician billing as well as insurance verification.
This position will be considered hybrid with a mix of at home and in office work.
The hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST, Monday-Friday. No nights or weekends required!

Paid Time Off: Envision Healthcare offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
Responsibilities

• Obtain a copy of the facility census.
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries
• Collect and obtain face sheets ensuring that there is demographic and insurance information.
• Verify patient's insurance
• Scanning insurance information to EMR
• Review the chart notes to ensure accuracy of the place of service
• Ensure the correct use of modifiers
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to multi-task and work autonomously
• Detailed oriented
• Knowledge of medical and legal terminology as well as a clinical knowledge base are also essential
• Good organizational skills
• Communicate and work well in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in interacting with internal and external clients.
• Meet established production and quality goals/metrics
• Follow up in a timely manner on open items
• Able to effectively prioritize work on a daily basis
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in Healthcare billing system preferred

Education/Experience

• A High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and/or maintenance of medical records.
