POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an essential position designed to support Cheniere’s Shared Services by managing portfolio of IT contracts. The role is responsible for the end-to-end contract life cycle from Sourcing, Contracting, contract implementation, and ongoing management of the contract within IT category. This position is also accountable to maintain and continuously improving the SCM Team’s sourcing and contracting processes, procedures, tools, and systems. 

Our team are looking for a team member with 0-2 years of experience engaging business partners and suppliers in the processes associated with Sourcing, Contracting, Contract Management. The Associate Specialist is responsible for:

  • Integrates and works collaboratively with business partners in the delegated categories. 
  • Managing a portfolio of low-medium risk contracts across the delegated categories.
  • Support Shared Services Strategic Sourcing Events by working with cross functional Shared Services teams.
  • Driving compliance, continuous improvement, and value delivery.
  • Engages with Supplier Assurance, Purchasing Delivery team, and business partners to deliver strategies to meet business needs and supply market capability. 
  • Manages direct Contract Agreement Negotiations working with Legal, Insurance, Treasury and Risk Management functions. 
  • Implements Contract Agreements working with the Purchasing Delivery team and Share Services businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborates with business partners to assure their way-of-working is compliant with company compliance, ethics, and delegated authorities. 
  • Leverages Cheniere’s scale to coordinate business needs with suppliers.
  • Acts as the single point of accountability for all spend against their delegated contracts.
  • Supports the Contract Owners in the gathering of performance feedback for effective contractor management
  • Supports the delivery of Category Strategies as appropriate to the delegated contracts.

Sourcing, Contracting, and Contract Management  

  • Ensures all Sourcing and Contracting is compliant, timely and delivered with quality.
  • Performs financial analysis to evaluate and define value to establish and maintain Total Estimated Contract Value.
  • Drafts, evaluates, negotiates, and executes various contract commercial structures.
  • Ensures contractual records and documentation and contract correspondence maintained and logged into the appropriate systems. 
  • Supports the Delivery Purchasing team in the creation of Contract Purchase Agreements (CPA’s) and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA’s) as appropriate.
  • Supports the Procurement Purchasing team to establish transactional purchases against established contracts.

Contract Administration: 

  • Maintains contract process and procedure documentation. 
  • Provides subject matter expertise to the GEP contracting solution. 
  • Participates in the Contract Template Governance process by reviewing existing contracts for updates, updating contract templates for review by the legal / SCM teams and managing GEP contract template uploads for use. 
  • Manages the GEP contract templates, contract processes, approvals, and signatures.
  • Assures the SCM team are aware and adhering to GEP requirements.
  • Provides QA/QC approval of contract attributes to ensure useful, accurate and complete reporting and analytics. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • General business and manufacturing plant experience.
  • General knowledge of Sourcing, Contracting and Purchasing processes and systems.
  • General understanding with negotiation of general material and service contract provisions, and commercial terms.
  • Hands-on experience with source-to-contract and purchase to pay systems (Oracle and GEP are preferred).
  • SCM Commercial Ops Associate Specialist shall have general understanding with IT category.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Certifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, related business, or other relevant technical discipline.

Experience: 

  • Zero (0) to two (2) years of SCM experience hands on experience with CLM system, process and system, sourcing, competitive bidding, RFP development, bid evaluation, selection, contracting and purchasing.

You will have access to great IT (Information Technology) equipment and support and can readily access the downtown tunnels, restaurants, and gyms. You may occasionally need to travel to our sites at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi and those sites are governed by FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) regulations which do include drug and alcohol testing.
