Primary Function: Ability to facilitate the development of everyday self-care, pre-academic, and pre-vocational activities for eligible students. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:
Minimum of an associate degree or higher
Certified occupation therapist assistant license
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
* Interprets assessment results for teachers, parents, and other personnel under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Supports the individual education plan for occupational therapy goals and treatment for eligible students, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Administers occupational therapy in accordance with the treatment plan as stated in the individual education plan and under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Performs on-going evaluation of treatment programs and adapts program as necessary to maximize results under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Selects and manages adaptive equipment and/or assistive devices for use with upper trunks, arms, and hands, and aids in elimination of architectural barriers under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT)
* Maintains appropriate records and reports
* Lifts, positions, transfers, and performs special duties to meet the needs of moderately intellectually disabled, severely and profoundly intellectually disabled, and orthopedically impaired students
* Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee
