The ENRICH Lab (Enhancing ResIlience Cultivating Health), housed within the Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP) in the Department of Psychiatry at Emory School of Medicine, is seeking qualified candidates for a two-year, part-time (20 hours a week) social worker. This position will involve 15 hours a week of direct patient care, one hour of supervision, one hour lab meeting, and the remaining three hours will involve community engagement tasks.The social workers time will be dedicated to providing clinical care for youth and families who are involved in a foundation-funded grant designed to use community-based participatory mixed methods to understand sociocultural factors that may contribute to the development, maintenance, and culturally-responsive treatment of mood concerns in African-American youth (learn more at www.enrichprogram.org). The ideal candidate for this job will have Interest and/or experience in research with marginalized youth and families.JOB DESCRIPTION:-Provide high-quality, evidence-based, culturally responsive clinical care-Conduct assessments, provide therapy, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual patient-Maintain a clinical caseload of 15 patients a week-Help spearhead and maintain collaborations with community stakeholders.-Conduct psychodiagnostic assessments-Collaborate with clinical psychologists on culturally responsive interventions-Assist in conducting focus groupsSocial worker may also have the opportunity to help develop and pilot individual and group intervention manuals. Program development and outreach projects will include opportunities for work with communities and schools, as well as general strengthening of our community-based research infrastructure. Availability for evening (after school appointments) and weekend (community outreach activities) work is necessary.Qualities and qualifications valued in social workers in the ENRICH lab include but are not limited to: eagerness to learn; proactive work ethic; ability to work well independently and as part of team; time management; exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to think critically; excellent organizational skills; professional communicationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must have an MSW degree from an accredited program. Candidates working towards LCSW licensure can receive supervised hours in this position. However, please note that since a Clinical Psychologist will be providing supervision, candidates will only be able to accrue 50% of their required supervision hours from this position.ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:The preferred start date for the position is Summer 2024. A two-year commitment is requested. This is a hybrid position as our data collection occurs virtually, and community outreach activities occur at various in-person locations. CAMP meetings and ENRICH lab meetings also occur in-person.
