The role involves developing and managing the consulting category strategy, executing sourcing initiatives, managing supplier performance and relationships and driving additional value for the business. This leader is also responsible for becoming a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment. Finally, this leader will partner with business leadership in Humana's segments to drive enterprise-wide value.Develop and implement robust category strategies for consulting services that are aligned to the business's strategies and needs based on sourcing profession best practices, including supply market analyses, category cost modeling, and process and domain expertise.Act as a trusted advisor with key stakeholders by providing a forward-thinking strategy, considering internal / external factors, and aligning to Humana's overall business objectives and valuesDevelop risk- and probability-adjusted multi-year savings forecasts and annual savings goals, with high forecasted impact on cost and department outcomesManage a rationalized supply base of preferred suppliers, with performance measurements and enterprise alignment on supplier performanceLeverage internal and external resources to solve complex problems and through an advanced operating model, deliver results in the most effective and efficient wayImplement staff training and development programs to enhance general leadership skills, sourcing expertise, and domain knowledgeOversee analysis of qualitative and quantitative supplier characteristics, including supplier capabilities, supplier goals and objectives, risk profile, and supplier's financial position for requisite categoriesDevelop and achieve supplier diversity & sustainability targets for the categoryManage and lead team through all sourcing activities, including RFI/RFP development and implementationActively engage in long-term strategic planning for the Procurement organization to build capabilities and achieve roadmap goals for FY23 and beyond.Drive corporate compliance to the preferred-supplier program via end-user change management and communications programsPartner with the Procurement Delivery Team to appropriately triage projects between savings-focused strategic initiatives and tactical quick-hit initiativesWork closely with Procurement Operations and Corporate Payables to ensure a seamless end-to-end procurement experience for stakeholders & suppliersDrive change management as necessaryUse your skills to make an impactRequired QualificationsAt least 6 years of sourcing and procurement experience with several years of category experience in Consulting Services Procurement or Professional Services Procurement.Demonstrated experience in defining the category strategy and tactics for the areas of responsibilityAdvanced interpersonal skills of outstanding communication (oral and written), assertiveness, courage, and the ability to influence othersExcellent relationship management skills, demonstrating mature confidence and integrityDemonstrated ability to work autonomously, both as a lead and as a part of a teamAbility to work in a team environment to collate and act upon feedback from all levels within the business and sourcing environmentsAbility to manage multiple priorities of business partners in a complex, multi-business segment environmentAbility to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous dataAbility to motivate project team members and stakeholders to meet established deadlinesAbility to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arisesStrong financial and business acumenPreferred QualificationsAdvanced DegreeCertifications such as CPSM, Six Sigma, and/or PMPScheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
