Job Description
The Cloud Solution Architect Azure will provide technical leadership on Microsoft Cloud, Azure and Azure DevOps areas. Projects would typically include new implementations, cloud migrations, DevOps, governance, and platform strategy as well as a custom solution delivery provided by development or configuration tools. The Cloud Solution Architect Azure will also be deeply engaged early with other Clouds in use such as AWS and Oracle. He/She will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Cloud, Microsoft Cloud, Azure, DevOps within the division, and will be expected to champion the focus on Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure Services.
  • Assess and recommend public and hybrid Cloud solutions, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to develop proposals, presentations, statement of work (SOW) and proactively recommend strategies around Microsoft technologies specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Should be able to execute short term strategic consulting projects on Microsoft Azure, assessments, POC/pilots, map solutions to client business processes, and develop value proposition and business case.
  • Advice customers on various Cloud solution options, discuss benefits and risks of each, and recommend a solution that aligns with the customer's business needs and requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership and IT transformation recommendations for large collaboration programs around Microsoft Azure.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Creating solutions, presenting and articulating business cases for Microsoft Azure
  • Well versed with cloud architecture styles and design patterns
  • Experience in developing cloud migration approaches, defining migration roadmaps and providing estimates
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery
  • Experience in developing and deploying Cloud Native Applications using Azure PaaS Capabilities (App Services Plans, Key Vault, SQL Azure DB, Azure
  • Functions, Containers, AKS, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management)
  • Experience in Enterprise Integration Technologies such as BizTalk, Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with claims based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC
  • Understands setting up Monitoring and diagnostics on Azure for a web application
  • Experience in Azure Infra, Networks, Storage, Apps and Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, & Bash etc.,
  • Experience with Azure Governance and Best Practices (Role Based Access Control, Networking Architectures, Cost Management controls, etc. )
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry is strongly preferable.
  • Possesses sound analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Assignments may be complex in nature and modifications may be broader than the application itself. Must have the ability to think creatively and incorporate current technical solutions with the end user in mind. Assigned projects may be complex in nature and impact more than one system application
  • Lead teams within a matrixed organization
  • Should be comfortable and able to present ideas to both technical and business stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions.
  • Microsoft Azure Architecture Certification.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited college/university in business related or technology related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 15 years overall IT experience
  • 5 years of relevant Microsoft Azure architecture, design & delivery experience

Responsibilities
  • Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • The EA coordinates the shaping and prioritization of IT projects to ensure all projects follow the architecture plan and align with the current budget and standards for launching successful projects.
  • Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
  • The EA is a thought leader responsible for end-to-end technology strategy and road map (Applications and Infrastructure, Mobile, Web, Data, Cloud, etc.).
  • Advises senior IT leadership on enterprise strategic planning, IT governance, enterprise architecture, IT transformations and IT risk management.
  • Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Reviews existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve business processes, as well as support of all architectural disciplines under their direction.
  • Conducts research and authors papers and presentations on a variety of strategy, governance, enterprise architecture and technology topics.
  • Design technology solutions by modeling requirements and applying standard architecture methodologies and manages the lifecycle of IT solution delivery.
  • Ability to drive through influence ideal solution strategy with agility and leadership qualities.
  • Optimize among constraints (e.g., resources, environment, and performance) to deliver architectural solutions, developing advanced/leading-edge technologies and/or concepts.

Qualifications
  • 8 years of Information Technology experience is required with work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations.
  • 1 years of experience as solution or enterprise architect with a proven track record of implementing innovative strategies / solutions
  • Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
  • A Masters degree is a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly and audience appropriate manner.
