The EMR Implementation Specialist is responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and training the practice on the EMR application, Athenahealth. Provides ongoing training and support to enhance practice operations and clinical workflows. The EMR Implementation Specialist will interact directly with the physicians and physicians' office staff to design, configure, test, train, implement and support the use of the EMR software.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least two years of experience in a physician's office, hospital, or equivalent clinic setting as a part of the clinical and/or billing team required.
• Comfortable directing and training staff and acting as a resource for staff and providers.
• Advanced knowledge of Athena EMR or comparable EMR application preferred, and experienced user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• HTML formatting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: face to face, email, written correspondence, and telephone. Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications.
• Exercises good judgment, analytical skills, and political acumen
