Heritage Mechanical Services is one of the New York City Metropolitan area’s leading provider of high-performance end-to-end mechanical and HVAC airside solutions.
Summary:Heritage Mechanical Services is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for pulling material orders, setting up job boxes, maintaining proper stock levels, and other duties as assigned.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pull tools/hardware for sheet metal workers.
- Maintain clean work environment (sweep, empty garbage, put materials away)
- Keep proper inventory levels – alert Purchasing Manager when items need to be re-ordered.
- Restock cleaning supply closet as needed.
- Use company vehicle(s) to make local pick-ups.
- Other tasks assigned as Manager needs.
Required Attributes:
- Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people/personalities in a professional and courteous manner.
- Clean driver’s license
- Forklift certification a plus
- Knowledge of sheet metal is beneficial, but not necessary.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee regularly lifts, carries, moves, and sets down up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
