Job Summary

Ellingson-DTD is seeking mechanically oriented general laborers/equipment operators for work on a directional drilling crew to install horizontal wells for environmental remediation.

Applicants should expect extensive travel across the United States. All business travel and expenses are paid for, and workers should expect 40-70 hour work weeks, depending on the project. Applicants should be prepared to work in all weather conditions (extremes of hot and cold and also rain and snow). Mechanics are encouraged to apply.

Required Experience and Credentials:

• Willingness to travel and be away from home for weeks at a time
• Basic equipment operation, pumps, small engines
• Basic mechanical skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Preferred Experience and Credentials:

• Mechanic (diesel and gas engines)
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training
• Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
• Valid CDL Class A
• Welding experience

Work tasks may include:

• Operating motor vehicles and heavy equipment (primarily excavator, forklift, or backhoe)
• Lifting bags of drilling fluid additives and or cement, up to 50 lbs.
• Moving drill pipe or well casing, by hand or with the use of hoisting equipment
• Fueling field and shop equipment
• Use of hand tools for equipment maintenance, repair, or fabrication
• Hand excavation of small pits or trenches in soil
• Use of welding equipment for equipment repair or fabrication
• Light carpentry
• Routine equipment maintenance

Compensation: Rate of pay will be based on experience and credentials. Full benefits package offered.
