Elite Landscape Construction is a commercial landscape construction company that works with General Contractors and Owners to install all aspects of commercial landscaping with over 30 years of business since the establishment of what began as a small home-based landscape maintenance company in 1987. We are looking for a full time Elite Superintendent to join our Elite team in Clovis, CA.

G E N ERAL JOB SUMMARY

The Superintendent is responsible for customer satisfaction, job budgeting and scheduling, cost controlling, documentation and reporting for all assigned projects.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. General knowledge of landscape construction operations
2. Effective listening skills to understand what our customers are looking for
3. A positive attitude when faced with challenges
4. Work in an organized and proactive manner
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF
6. Ability to read and understand blueprints and spec’s
7. Work cooperatively and collaboratively both, independently and as part of a team (team oriented)
8. Effective and professional communication skills with customers, vendors and team members; verbal and written
9. Detail oriented, able to multi-task and flexible
10. Valid California Driver’s License
11. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least a High School Diploma or GED required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent and/or related industry Superintendent.

1. Extensive automobile travel required

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Ensure the quality and profitability of all assigned jobs
   • Work with Project Manager/s
   • Understand the scope of work detailed in each signed contract
   • Maintain a budget that meets our minimum Gross Profit goals
   • Maintain a schedule that meets the needs of our customers; draft if one is not provided
   • Order materials and equipment according to established budgets and schedules
   • Assist Project Manager/s prepare the scope of work detailed within our budgets and schedules
   • Monitor the quality of service and cost of all sub-contractors and vendors
   • Communicate any hiring needs, jobsite tools and equipment needs with the Project Manager
2. Customer satisfaction in the field, once a job is awarded
   • Communicate the needs of our customers to our team members
   • Check-In with customers before, during and/or following meetings:
     • Pre-construction
     • Weekly or Bi-weekly progress
     • Anything needed or requested by our customers
   • Participate in punch list job walks
3. Documentation and reporting of all assigned jobs
   • Completion according to signed job contracts and ELC’s established procedures
   • Documentation of:
     • Submittals
     • Statement of Values (SoV’s)
     • Request for Information (RFI’s)
     • Safety Requirements
     • Purchase Orders
     • Proposed Change Orders
     • Change orders
     • Subcontract Compliance
     • Customer Billing Approval
     • Vendor Invoice Approval
     • Project Closeout Documentation
     • Delay Claims
     • 3-Month Revenue Projections

• Complete the Job Cost Status Report in preparation for monthly Work In Progress (WIP) meetings
• Attend weekly job status update meetings
