POSITION SUMMARY

Elektrofi is seeking talented individuals to join our company full-time as Associate/Sr. Associate Scientist, Formulation Development to support the development of bespoke compositions for Elektrofi's novel drug delivery platform. Selected individuals will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of scientists and contribute to a variety of IND-enabling formulations activities in a highly collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform formulation and product characterization;
• Execute and analyze hypothesis-driven studies to refine Elektrofi's formulation platform;
• Develop novel characterization methods that further inform formulation development;
• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency needed to meet critical corporate objectives;
• Author and manage SOPs, data, and technical reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS (3 years relevant experience) or MS degree (1-3 years relevant experience) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field;
• Knowledge of protein biochemistry and associated characterization techniques (UV-Visible spectroscopy, HPLC-SEC/IEX/bio-affinity methods, rheology) is required;
• Experience with the development of high-concentration aqueous/lyophilized/spray-dried protein formulations or parenteral suspension drug products is highly desirable;
• Hands-on experience with tangential flow filtration (TFF) of protein solutions is desirable;
• Experience with aseptic handling techniques is a must;
• Sharp laboratory acumen and organizational skills;
• Ability to think critically and constructively in a fast-paced research environment;
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Safely lift and handle containers weighing 25lbs.

Additional relevant skills and attributes include:

• Attention to detail and the ability to thoroughly document experimental work in ELNs
• Ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary team and interface with senior scientific team
• Familiarity with standard office software (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, JMP).
