What you will do:
The Senior Network Systems Engineer will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Electra's network and systems infrastructure. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Azure Entra, M365, networking, systems administration, infrastructure automation, and proficiency in public and private cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and HCI Platforms.
In this role you will:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions.
  • Manage Azure Entra, ensuring seamless integration, optimization, and adherence to best practices.
  • Implement and manage public and private cloud-based solutions, including HCI Platforms, AWS, and Azure, leveraging infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) offerings, Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement IT projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing best practices.
  • Document network and system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
What we need you to bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in network and systems engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Ubiquiti Networks.
  • Experience with server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including experience with IaaS and PaaS offerings.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Strong problem solving-skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements:
  • Mobility: Ability to move freely, including walking and standing, in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Capability to lift and carry objects, sometimes exceeding 25 pounds, as required in office tasks and manufacturing processes.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using equipment and tools, such as computers and machinery, with precise hand movements.
  • Safety Awareness: Vigilance in adhering to safety protocols and guidance to prevent accidents or injuries, particularly important in manufacturing environments.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Clear speech, hearing, and teamwork skills for effective interaction with colleagues across different work settings.
Compensation:
  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education
