EFK Moen, LLC, is currently seeking a Sr Project Manager for a full-time position managing roadway projects in our Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, motivated leader with previous project management experience, while possessing business and people skills. Job Description:

Typical projects are transportation engineering designs which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar projects. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include governmental agencies such as IDOT, Tollway, counties, and municipalities. Delegation of tasks to engineering/technical staff, as well as responsibility for project schedules and budgets are key facets of this role while managing the development and implementation of design deliverables. The successful candidate will rely on their engineering experience and knowledge to achieve client satisfaction and profitability of projects. The Sr Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects and staff to provide all deliverables as part of a collaborative team. This position reports directly to the Chicago Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The following duties are typical for this position:

  • Manage highway/roadway design projects
  • Manage detailed schedule and work plan
  • Provide consistent project updates regarding strategy and progress to various stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver quality designs that adhere to budget/schedule
  • Mentor engineers and technical staff, as well as delegate tasks for project assignments
  • Responsible for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
  • 15 years of experience in civil/highway design projects
  • 3 years of successful PM experience on transportation projects
  • IDOT project experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MicroStation/GeoPak/InRoads/OpenRoads design software

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
  • Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software
