Position Summary:

Edu-Tech Academic Solutions is seeking a dynamic and innovative full-time Director of Information Technology to join one of our partner schools in the central PA region. The IT Director will lead the development and implementation of a strategic vision for technology across the school, managing hardware, software, and budget while promoting technology integration into classroom instruction. This role requires engaging with administrators, staff, educators, and students to foster responsible and creative use of technology.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for K-12 academic technology. They must demonstrate leadership experience, a commitment to professional development, and a deep understanding of independent school culture.

Preferred Qualifications & Qualities:

• Organized, hands-on leadership style with strong delegation skills
• Knowledgeable in K-12 educational technology and instructional integration
• Proficiency in instructional technology hardware, software, and web-based tools
• Experience collaborating with faculty to enhance student learning
• Ability to apply technology to solve business problems
• Understanding of relational databases and client-server concepts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise Information Technology staff
• Collaborate with Academic Technology staff and all departments/divisions
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and technology inventory
• Oversee selection and implementation of instructional technology tools
• Communicate with stakeholders to support programs and resolve conflicts
• Coordinate technology use in teaching, learning, and curriculum
• Develop and interpret IT policies to meet program goals and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or Computer Science; Master's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience leading K-12 IT departments or tech-related fields
• Proficiency in Google Admin Console and Google Apps for Education
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Technical expertise in operating systems, servers, and maintenance
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations
• Negotiation and vendor management skills
• Supervisory, organizational, and analytical abilities
• Willingness to be hands-on in daily technology operations
• Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 30lbs
