Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates talent for business analysis and stakeholder relationship management to elicit high-level requirements, capture business needs, and articulate/document these in BRDs or user stories as needed.
• Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions.
• Obtains key inputs from business users and technical personnel to design solutions, identify solution interdependencies, and track progress.
• Assists Sr. Manager in managing project plans as well as customer/stakeholder relationship
• Coordinates and manages projects by negotiating contracts, managing relationships, tracking project progress, monitoring vendor performance, preparing status reports, and otherwise facilitating communication within and between relevant project teams.
• Defines, develops and implements Quality Assurance (QA) practices and procedures, end user test plans and other QA assessments.
• Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands.
• Ensures that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management software.

Required Skills:

• Exceptional documentation skills including but not limited to user stories, business requirements (BRDs), functional requirements (FRDs), use cases, process flows, test cases, and test results.
• Expertise in business planning, management, problem solving, customer focus & relationship building.
• Broad, enterprise-level IT domain experience in three or more of the following IT areas:
• Applications Development
• Enterprise Architecture
• Project Management
• Vendor Management
• Quality Assurance / Testing
• Infrastructure and Maintenance and Support
• Able to understand business issues and challenges involved in a project. Applies that knowledge in meetings, analysis of requirements, and coordination of project efforts.
• Proactive, solution-minded approach
• Broad Microsoft Office familiarity, especially MS Excel for reports and budgets and PowerPoint for executive presentations
