Job Description:

ECS is seeking a PowerBI & PowerApps Developer/Data Analyst to work Remote or in our Washington, D.C. office.

We are currently seeking an organized and detailed oriented PowerBI and PowerApps Developer to join our team. The Developer will help ingest and transform data sets to create dashboards/visualizations that support reporting and brings together key performance and operational data for the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, the developer will participate in the creation of technical and functional guidance documentation and will help present and train clients on how to consume the developed reports.

About the Job

• Provide technical expertise related to PowerBI to ensure the client is getting the best products necessary.
• Create designs for dashboards based on client requirements.
• Develop formulas for reports in Data Analysis Expression (DAX) language.
• Integrate different data sources and create data sets within Power BI.
• Understand the ETL involved in creating data sets for reports.
• Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Must be experienced in designing, architecting, development and deployment using Power BI..
• Data modeling with Power BI.
• Develop customized automated solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, Sharepoint and Dataverse.
• Must have experience delivering solutions using the software development life cycle.
• Work closely with clients to understand business needs and how they can be met in a solution.
• Excellent SQL skills and performance tuning skills.
• Proactively identify opportunities to integrate new and existing toolsets to improve automation.
• Work in an Agile team setting and use Atlassian suite for task tracking and documentation.
• Review team members code, architecture, and documentation to provide feedback.
• Create system design documents and architectures.

Required Skills:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8 years applicable experience.
• 5 years experience with Microsoft PowerBI.
• Experience with PowerPlatform including PowerApps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and O365 tools and how they work together.
• Proficiency in Python/ R & PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with DAX expressions and M language.

Desired Skills:

• Familiar with Agile concepts.
• Team player focused.
• Experience with UI/UX friendly dashboards.
• Experienced with SharePoint Online and Teams.
• Experience with additional analytics or automation tools (Tableau, UiPath, ServiceNow, etc) a plus.
• Experience with generative AI tools a plus.
• Experience with federal acquisition, budget, and/or PPBE lifecycle a plus.
• Jira and Confluence experience a plus.
