You will make an impact:

As the Director, Product Management, you will be an integral team member for establishing and driving the product strategy for eClinical Solutions innovative elluminate® platform. elluminate is a next generation data integration and analytics cloud platform that enables life sciences organizations to optimize the aggregation, standardization, and analysis of their data throughout the clinical development life cycle. You will serve as a cross-functional leader across R&D and other operational teams to establish and implement product strategy, create, and maintain product development road maps, define customer/market-driven technical requirements and specifications, define, and analyze product success metrics, establish a process to understand customer requirements and future market needs, and work with engineering, sales and marketing through the product lifecycle. You will have a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and customer needs; as well as an intimate understanding of how life sciences products work at the feature level.

Your day to day:

  • Work with all adjacent functions to ensure we have a well-defined plan for how we advance our product
  • Maintain an ongoing summary of the competitive landscape and how our current and future product compares and can offer competitive advantage
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns to current and future customer needs, communicate across all functions
  • Establish product management best practices to drive results
  • Develop communication strategy and tools to provide transparency on product strategy, roadmaps, and release development progress and ensure they are continually maintained
  • Collaborate across functions on effective go-to-market strategy, including pricing and positioning
  • Monitor, measure and incorporate learnings back into launched products
  • Collaborate with Engineering and SQA to ensure timely product development and high-quality delivery
  • In collaboration with Marketing, evangelize the platform and solutions at industry conferences, at seminars and with customers
  • Perform business analysis (i.e., competition, industry innovations, win/loss, licensing, pricing, packaging)
  • Collaborate with Marketing on product positioning, technical white papers, and marketing collateral
  • Collaborate with head of elluminate services on implementation initiatives such as training and efficient client implementations
  • Engage with technology partners at a strategic level to ensure efficient collaboration
  • Support pre-sales activities and customer-facing initiatives with prospects and key customers
  • Ensure compliance with eClinical Solutions and industry quality standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Basic Science/Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree and/or equivalent work experience, MBA a plus
  • 12 years in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry or equivalent IT consulting role
  • 5 years of product management experience providing direction to meet and exceed market needs
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Must have a technical background and in-depth knowledge of the life sciences marketplace, technology, and vendors
  • Experience with delivery of products using Agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of software design principles and practices
  • Excellent strategic management skills including the ability to design and write business plans
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling and design
  • Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trial methodology and clinical domains, and industry standards (CDISC), preferred
  • Strong technical project management experience and team leadership skills including scope management, work planning and work delegation
  • Proven ability to work independently and with technical team members (Start-Up environment experience is a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage relationship with third party vendors and work effectively across international organizational boundaries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics solutions
