ECC is Hiring an Environmental Technician Near Honolulu, HI

Description
ECC is seeking candidates for an Environmental Technician position working on-site in Maui for fires debris cleanup project. Qualified local candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. This is an non-exempt, hourly paid position. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Position start date is approximately Dec 1, 2024 and is expected to last approximately 12 months. In this position you will:
  • Under direct supervision, implement relevant environmental and Operation & Maintenance manuals, reports and plans
  • Report to the site and conduct field sampling and monitoring, take measurements and recordings, and perform other miscellaneous field support services as assigned
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Analyze environmental/ site/ material data
  • Maintain budget and schedule for assigned tasks
  • Apply industry standards of practice for selected technology, adhering to regulatory codes, building codes, national/ local standards, and company policies and SOPs
  • Complete related documentation (field reports, logs, meeting minutes, online submittal sites), in a timely and accurate manner
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements
  • Apply basic knowledge of environmental technical principles and tools, as directed
  • Apply education and training of technical processes and technologies, as directed
  • Apply standard protocol for work, as directed
  • Implement Federal environmental regulations, DoD guidelines, OSHA standards, USACE QC protocol, building codes/ standards, and FAR, as directed
  • Communicate effectively by written and verbal means
  • Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Education: High School diploma and Vocational training in environmental technology, analytical methods, toxicology, regulatory compliance, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or certification in relevant field
  • Prior experience working in the field on environmental projects, or environmental
ECC targeted base pay-rate for this position is $22 to $28 hourly.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
