Eastern Wholesale Fence in Salisbury now hiring Lead Operator.

12 hour shift. 1st and 2nd shift available.

Position Overview:

Overseeing all aspects of production in the Extrusion department. Examine, keep track and reinforce twin screw extruders and downstream equipment maintenance and proper operation. Work individually as well as part of a team. Communicate effectively with the QC department. Follow procedural tasks. In charge of the other machine operators in the shift. Responsible of overseeing all the systems, machinery and personnel at the workplace.

Essential job functions:

• Setup and control production of eleven extrusion lines.
• Manage and report on functionality of production and facilitate issues which may arise during shift.
• Produce daily production reports inclusive of scrap results and profiles/volumes produced.
• Participate in our QC management meetings with goal to identify common issues and enhance awareness/training.
• Monitor and maintain product quality and packing.
• Track and follow accurately the monthly production schedule.
• Supervise Machine Operators and Packers.
• Periodically inspect equipment and reinforce the proper PM and operation.
• Reinforce company policy.
• Reinforce safety procedures.
• Meet production quotas and maintain scrap target levels.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and finding corrective actions

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years extrusion experience
• Technical and mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Three-year’s experience in Extrusion Manufacturing profile preferred
• Associate degree or higher or equivalent job experience
• Must be flexible with working schedule.
• Computer literate
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
