East Jordan Plastics, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Injection Tool Maker. Candidates must have 5-7 years of demonstrated tool building, maintenance, and repair experience in thermoforming and/or injection molding.
Responsibilities:
Full understanding of all aspects of injection molding tooling; hot runner systems, cooling systems, ejection, etc.
Experience in troubleshooting thermoforming and injection molding tooling.
Maintenance and repair of tooling including fabricating details and spotting tool.
Use of traditional metal fabrication equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
Use of CNC equipment for component fabrication.
Use of precision measurement devices
Understand proper tolerance of components for injection molding, punching plastic parts, etc.
Basic lifting & rigging principles and practices.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of demonstrated tool building, maintenance, and repair experience.
Able to read machine prints and determine proper equipment required to fabricate the desired item.
Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and welcoming to continuous improvement and change.
Strong mechanical mindset and understanding of industrial systems, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting,
Experience with injection molding and/or thermoforming plastics preferred.
Experience working in a scheduled maintenance environment.
Ability to read, write, email, and have basic computer skills.
Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
Able to use hand tools, lift 50lbs, bend, reach, squat, sit, stand, and utilize ladders.
