Full-Time Teacher

Our Jacksonville, Florida location (Lone Star High School- MYcroSchool) is looking for an innovative, caring math teacher who is willing to lift-up students and colleagues, optimizing their potential. Our students deserve a passionate teacher to join our family of amazing educators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a combination of classroom-based and on-line instruction to high school students, in one or more assigned areas; demonstrate the skills and abilities to work in both an in-person and a virtual learning environment;
  • Evaluate student progress, consistent with school policy and philosophy, keep appropriate records, prepare necessary student reports, and effectively communicate with students, supervisors, and parents;
  • Build strong relationships with students and their families through community outreach events, parent conferences and other engagement opportunities; and
  • Above all else, our teachers must believe that all students, regardless of background and current ability, and can succeed in high school, college, and life.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA) or higher

Valid Florida teaching certificate in subject area (Temp or Perm)

Knowledge of Florida Department of Education regulations

Successful results of criminal and employment background checks.
