Job Summary:
The Automotive Technician at Duluth Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and conducting quality inspections on all types of vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly technician position in the automotive industry located in Duluth, Minnesota. This role is an individual contributor and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $95,000 per year, paid biweekly. In addition to competitive pay, the Automotive Technician will also receive benefits such as healthcare, retirement options, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including brake systems, transmissions, engines, and electrical systems
- Conduct quality inspections on all vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair vehicle issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep up to date with industry trends, technology, and advancements in automotive repair and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or related field
- Knowledge and experience with automotive repair and maintenance processes and equipment
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
