Assume responsibilities for direct nursingcare of assigned patientsunder the supervision of a registered n urse orphysician in patient carearea. Administer medications and special nursing caretechniquesprescribed for assigned patients. Provides nursin g servicesto patientsand families inaccordance with thescope of the LPN asdefined by theNorth Carolina Board of Nursing.

Administer medications as prescribed by physician and employ specialnursing care techniques as required; administer intravenous medic ationsand fluids as directed; assist with instrument processing and sche dulingappoints. Maintains required records.Provide and document direct n ursingcare of assigned patients underthesupervision ofa registered nurs eorphysician. Nursing care is guidedby the physician orders and the nurs ingplan of care. Patient responseto care is reported to a registered nur sefor evaluation, interventionand modification of the plan of care.
