Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Store Inventory Loss Prevention Auditor. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting various inventory and auditing procedures that help ensure accurate reporting and control of store asset balances. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES •
Overnight travel is required by plane or car to conduct inventories in assigned locations.
Responsible for assisting in relocations of market stores and/or new
Work with location Managers on resolving inventory discrepancies and ensuring the best practices of inventory management are being followed.
Preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly reports related to inventory status by location, or other areas as may be appropriate.
Review, consolidate, and turn in results from Audit counts from assigned locations to Director of Inventory
Investigate and resolve inventory issues at assigned locations on a timely basis through effective interaction with location Managers.
Identify failures to execute proper inventory management and reporting cases to appropriate members of management.
Supply location management with root cause ICS must approve all corrective action plans prior to reporting results to the Director of Retail Inventory.
Report observation of any security risks from assigned locations, through the audit
Complete full reconciliation on all Inventory shrink in assigned
Direct and lead location Managers in inventory integrity through awareness of process
Ensure all locations are prepared for their audit through pre-Inventory checklist and scheduled inventory calls through the completion of the audit.
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: •High School Diploma •2-5 years' experience working in inventory or a related area to include inventory analysis, management, and research. •
Ability to effectively administer audit preparation and conducting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in using inventory management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to use handheld scanner.
Mathematical skills
Managing multi-site locations
Creating and managing Excel spreadsheets.
Writing reports/audits
Traveling to locations by car and plane
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures
Experience in auditing or inventory management (preferred)
