The Role

The Paid Acquisition role leads all client paid Search and Social media buying (hands on keyboard) on platforms such as Facebook/ Instagram, Google PPC, YouTube, GDN and more. From strategic campaign development to regular monitoring and optimizations, the right person for this role will have a data- and objective-driven mind. They will take initiative on implementing best practices and new opportunities, while keeping client growth top-of-mind.

The role will work directly with the Brand Managers and Director of Innovation & Strategy on implementation, optimizations, and regular insight reports. The objective always being to narrow in on where we can provide the most value and ROAS for our clients. As such, a passion for account growth and experience identifying objectives, growth tactics and obstacles are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead measurable growth for the client's brand and of the account within the agency.
  • Identify new and creative ways to contribute to and grow client business.
  • Successfully managing paid acquisition portfolios across Search and Social platforms.
  • Create, develop, analyze, and grow the use of digital marketing initiatives across various channels and audiences.
  • Work internally across teams to ensure digital learnings are echoed throughout the account(s).
  • Polished presentation skills and comfortable presenting insights in client meetings. 
  • Build campaign performance reports to highlight trends, actionable insights and recommendations. 
  • Daily use of publisher platforms including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok and other applicable search and social publishers. 
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills with the ability to identify and communicate trends and insights. 
  • Manage annual Ad Spend budgets, and work with the account team to perform monthly ad spend reconciliation across platforms. 

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience with planning and implementing a successful Paid Search/Social strategy.
  • 2-4 years of experience in web analytics, marketing, and business development.
  • 2-4 years of agency and/or client-side experience managing large scale interactive marketing projects. 
  • Proven record of success for B2B and B2C clients across ad platforms. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (marketing, business, communications).
  • Working knowledge of traditional advertising and how to support using digital tactics.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics. 
  • Experienced in managing annual ad spend budgets of all sizes, and the ability to pace the monthly ad spend across platforms and campaigns. 
  • Reconciling monthly data and creating digestible performance reports across platforms for each client. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the digital industry, emerging trends, and innovation. 
  • Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on our clients’ key business outcomes.
  • Have an understanding of the key metrics measured by campaign objective: retargeting, lead generating, awareness, conversion, traffic, reach, views etc.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. 
  • Understanding and implementation of tools to measure behavior such as Pixels, Tags, UTM’s, Zapier, lead form extensions etc. 
  • Working knowledge of the correlation between ad performance and conversion rate optimization opportunities. 
  • An understanding of audiences and best practices for the respective user journey through the entirety of the funnel. 
  • Strong understanding of the analytics capabilities within Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio and more.

  • Advanced understanding of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Manages up and knows when to escalate internal and/or client concerns.
  • Ability to convey key insights to an audience that isn’t digitally savvy.
  • Ability to work with, and manage, freelancers as needed.
  • Actively contributes to the team culture.
