About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Asset Protection associate in our manufacturing facility in Brea, CA, referred to as Bricc City.

This role will report to the EHS Manager.

This is a full-time onsite role with company benefits based out of Brea, CA.

The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $21/hr. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

*Associate must be CPR/AED/First Aid certified (training will be provided)

What You'll Do:

  • Safety and Security
    • Carry out safety and security procedures to provide appropriate support to associates, vendors, visitors
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility-interior and exterior and to ensure security.
    • Control access to facility: to include restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel gain entry.
    • Monitor patron and employee movements in and out of the facility, maintaining a service-oriented approach.
  • Assist EHS leadership with Logging and maintaining Key Control Procedures:
    • Checking keys in and out per the Key Control Policy
    • Train other APA in the performance of their duties, emphasizing safety and security protocols.
    • Assist with stocking PPE or other supplies as needed
    • Adhere to Site Security Procedures
    • Adhere to Workplace Violence Plan
  • Visitor Management:
    • Ensure a welcoming and seamless experience for office visitors and team members.
    • Receive, direct, and assist all individuals entering the office premises.
    • Monitor and provide assistance with badge access, including door access
    • Assist EHS leadership with Logging and maintaining parking permit process and building parking passes.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Read and write detailed reports, maintaining a daily activity log.
    • Respond to security alarms and monitor CCTV systems, if applicable.
    • Conduct rounds to check for safety hazards, ensure lights and doors are secure, and clear the property of any items left behind.
    • Challenge suspicious persons and maintain an awareness of the legal limitations of the position.
  • Communication and Compliance:
    • Answer phones and dispatch in a timely manner, demonstrating proper etiquette in two-way radio communications.
    • Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling, which may vary according to facility needs.
    • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, wearing the proper dress code when working.
    • Comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
    • Emergency and Medical Response:
    • Assist during medical emergencies, administering First Aid/C.P.R./AED as necessary.
    • Rapid response for facility emergencies: Fire, Severe Weather, Earthquake, Active Shooter
  • Administrative Support and Improvement Initiatives:
    • Identify opportunities for process and office coordination improvements, helping to implement new systems.
    • Perform any other duties as requested by EHS management, maintaining confidentiality with respect to guest and Associate incidents.

  • Prior experience in a security or similar role is highly preferred

  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred

  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency

  • Someone who is comfortable with a patrol walk of the facility as scheduled/needed
