Under supervision, receives and relays messages for ASMG physicians; provides fee estimates for physician services as requested and maintains fee estimator database; coordinates “special requests” from patients for Anesthesia services; assists the Lead Communications Coordinator with physician evaluation processes, and tracking and documenting monthly locum use; attends new-hire physician orientation; coordinates anesthesia coverage as needed for hospital and outpatient surgical facilities; prepares final draft of anesthesia call schedules; other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Minimum of six months experience working in message center/surgery scheduling department or graduate of a medical receptionist/assistant program
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
• Working knowledge of CPT codes and medical terminology required
• Type 40 wpm
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and ability to work independently
• Work Hours, Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM, In-Office (no hybrid work schedule)
