Position: Application & Outreach Coordinator
Department: Homeownership & Neighborhood Programs
Reports to: Homeownership Program Manager
Status: full time, non-exempt
Level: C
Compensation: $20.43/hour to $29.62/hour; See Starting Salary Expectations section below.

Position Overview:
The Application & Outreach Coordinator will conduct outreach for Habitat’s homeownership and home repair programs. This role will support the Homeownership Program Manager with the selection of new homebuyers completing income verifications and processing applications for the program.
Responsibilities:
Homebuyer Applications
  • Act as first point of contact for all Homeownership Program applicants.
  • Support the Homeownership Program Manager in the homeowner application and selection process including application processing, assisting with all workshops and meetings, and follow-up communication on applications.
  • Support applicants through homebuyer application process and refer them to relevant partners or resources as needed.
  • Assist Homeownership Program Manager with all follow-up communication on homeowner applications.
  • Create and sustain strong working partnerships with other members of the team and contribute to Habitat’s culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist clients in applying for the IDA Program for homeownership and home repair
Program Outreach
  • Develop and implement an annual outreach plan for the homeownership program and home repair program.
  • Create and update outreach materials for homeownership, home repair and HomeWORKS education programs in collaboration with the communications department.
  • Provide community outreach support to program managers including attending community outreach and tabling events.
  • Work collaboratively with the community, local agencies, and organizations
  • Work with communications team on any needed program updates for the website, social media, or additional organization wide collateral.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Experience conducting outreach with people from diverse backgrounds in a social service or housing organization.
  • Commitment to serving families and individuals in need of affordable housing and advancing the critical call for affordable homeownership.
  • Commitment to and respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Utilize an equity lens when designing materials and communicating.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective with diverse audiences.
  • Strong time management, project management and organizational skills; can juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Sharp attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, and ability to learn as needs of the job and available technology evolves.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, open, team-oriented, business casual office.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Any qualifying combination of education, certification, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Verbal fluency in Vietnamese, Burmese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, or Amharic.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRMs (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Knowledge of area social services and community resources.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
OFFICE/HYBRID
  • Human-paced, open, team-oriented, business casual office
  • This position may be eligible for remote/hybrid work based on responsibilities, performance, and access to essential work-related resources.
Schedule
OFFICE
  • 40 hours a week, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm and weeknight/weekend work as necessary
Starting Salary Expectations:
Minimum $20.43/hour to range midpoint of $24.89/hour. Placement will generally not exceed the midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full wage range is $20.43/hour to $29.62/hour.
