Advancement Opportunities across a portfolio of 230 hotels representing all major Brands Our Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for assisting with overall management of the Housekeeping department including organizing, directing, and controlling the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
Assist the Housekeeping Manager with managing the overall department in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees while providing a safe environment.
Assisting with hiring, scheduling, training, developing, empowering, coach and counseling, conducting performance reviews, resolving problems, providing open communication.
Assigns work to Housekeeping staff and trains staff in housekeeping duties.
Addresses guests complaints regarding housekeeping services.
Inspects guest rooms, linen closets, storage areas.
Examines carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage or wear.
Checks and counts linens and supplies.
Records inspection results and informs Housekeeping staff of inadequacies.
Verifies staffing is appropriate for business levels and resolve any staffing issues.
Operates hotel property management system.
Checks vacant, expected departure and discrepant rooms.
Communicates with appropriate departments when necessary.
Conducts pre-shift meetings.
Cleans rooms and assists in laundry when necessary.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory or management experience preferred.
Must be flexible in hours and days worked. Weekends required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
