Job SummaryConestoga Title Insurance Co. has an opening for a Title Examination and Commercial Transaction Specialist in Lancaster, PA. This role is responsible for providing support to the Title Department, Commercial Division, and Agency Administration Department. This position is fully onsite in our Lancaster office. Responsibilities And Duties
Process orders for the company’s Examined Title Search product
Review applications for title insurance for completeness and correspond as necessary with Conestoga’s network of Approved Attorneys concerning their applications
Prepare title insurance commitments and policies for Approved Attorney transactions
Process Commercial Division transactions: open files, obtain payoffs, order title searches, prepare commitments, draft settlements statements, disburse funds, issue final policies and communicate with all parties related to the transaction
Monitor the Title Examination and Commercial Division email and respond as necessary
Scan and index files for Title Department and Commercial Division
Front desk coverage, answer low-volume company phones, convey messages, answer door buzzer
Sort the company mail; receiving incoming packages, scanning, emailing, filing, data entry, reporting
Assist Policy Administrator with processing of premiums and policy copies, invoice processing, proof reading
Back up assistance for the Agency Administration Department: Index closed agency files and/or scanned policies in ImageRight, scan closed agent title files, back up to receive and review requests for final documents and policies, back up research and obtain copies of final documents and policies
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not required
Related experience and/or training in real estate, title or mortgage industries or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to critically analyze vast array of documents and information provided in lender closing packages
Exceptional service skills when dealing with internal and external customers
Professional communication skills
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products, title agent settlement software and internet usage
