Job Description
DMS International (DMS) is seeking an Small Arms Logisticians who will provide analytical analysis and data supported recommendations for fleet sustainment programs on behalf of our client.
The duties of the Small Arms Logistician include:

• Responsible for managing and documenting small arms inventories using Navy inventory management procedures via official information technology systems. Activities include:
  • Ordering material,
  • Managing and updating orders using DoD and Navy Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Issuing Procedures (MILSTRIP) requisition transactions, Reviewing, utilizing, and interpreting DoD and Navy MILSTRIP business rules, data elements, technical exception codes, and systems,
  • Procuring and preparing reports,
  • Coordinating on-loading and off-loading material,
  • Identification of inventory shortages/excesses,
  • Reconciling inventories.

The Small Arms Logistician must:

• Be a US Citizen.
• Possess and maintain a US Government Secret level clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and experience of MS Office Suite, with emphasis on complex functions.
• 7 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing fleet sustainment logistics support services, data management and supply chain management services using NAVSUP One Touch web-based supply application and Naval Surface Warfare Small Arms Registry to MSC, the U.S. Navy, or the U.S. Coast Guard, to include, but not limited to:
  • Technical inventory data management,
  • Management of small arms allowances,
  • Accountability of small arms and associated components/hardware,
  • Small arms requisitioning using automated information technology systems,
  • Material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions,
  • Material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using both commercial sources and the Defense Transportation System (DTS) for CONUS and OCONUS delivery,
  • Performing causative research for inventory gains or losses,
  • Auditing, updating, analyzing, and determining shipboard inventory management posture,
  • Report retrievals, review, and submission of Navy Small Arms Asset Verification List,
  • Inventory reconciliation and trend analysis.
