About the Opportunity:

DMI, LLC is seeking an IT Configuration and Change Manager to support various DMI programs supporting federal programs. This individual is responsible for overseeing the configuration items (CIs) and changes to them for the services offered within the federal programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the oversight of all Configuration Changes occurring with IT environments. This includes CIs for physical hardware infrastructure (network switches and routers, storage infrastructure, servers, Operation Systems, firewalls, etc.)

- Reviews all documentation for CI changes within the environment. Provides approval recommendations to government leads on approvals.

- Ensures all CI changes are executed in alignment with supporting documentation.

- Reports and escalates unauthorized CI changes to government leads.

- Prepares configuration management and change board agendas, meeting artifacts, and minutes.

- Creates and maintains change and configuration management plans and SOPs.

- Supports development of change categorizations and works to ensure proper approvals are received depending on the change type.

- Facilitates a weekly change and configuration board to review and seek approvals for upcoming CI change requests.

- Supports process improvement efforts for enterprise change and configuration Management efforts.

- Provides recommendations to government leads and service providers on enhancements to CI change process.

- Creates and updates configuration management templates.

- Assists with selection and utilization of configuration management tools.

- Creates SOPs for utilizing and updating the Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).

- Creates CI mappings and relationships within ServiceNow and other CI tools to be selected by government leaders.

- Identifies, assesses, and escalates change and configuration management risks, implementing risk management strategies as needed.

- Supports automation and management of configuration items.

- Serves as a team lead for 5-10 other members of the change and configuration management teams.

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in a science/technical or related field.

- 5 or more years of change and configuration management experience, preferably within a government agency.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

- Must have TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

- ITILv3 Certification (required)

- Experience utilizing ServiceNow for creating and modifying tickets, as well as creating and running reports.

- Proficiency with Microsoft office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.

- Knowledge of federal government compliance requirements and standards.

- Must have experience with risk management strategies and implementation.

- DoD experience is preferred.

- Experience leading teams of 5-10 people completing change and configuration management tasks.

Physical Requirements: No Physical requirement needed for this position .

Location: Hybrid mostly remote with a requirement to report onsite occasionally in the Arlington, VA area for meetings and classified documentation review.
