Position Title: School Monitor
Location: 1309 W 95th St, Chicago, IL 60643
Reports To: School Principal
Type: Regular Full Time
Start Date: February 2024

Position Description:

A Distinctive School Monitor will ensure an enjoyable and safe environment for all students. A monitor is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all students in the school halls and community spaces. This person will:

  • Supervise students in the halls, cafeteria and community spaces during school hours, monitoring noise level, supervision and student behavior, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment

  • Support students in the development of their social emotional awareness during free play time assisting students with conflict resolution

  • Complete incident reports/referrals in a clear and concise manner, referring students to the appropriate personnel should disciplinary action be deemed necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • Experience working with children in education setting, as a volunteer or other child-related position
