Mount Olive Preschool Lead Teacher Job Description
Mount Olive Lutheran Preschool is a well-established and nationally accredited Christian preschool that is seeking Early Childhood Educators. Our approach is team-oriented, play-based and Christ-focused; all in a beautiful and natural park-like setting!
We currently have one lead teaching position open for the upcoming 2024-25 school year!
Monday - Friday Lead Teacher for a 3 year-old class. 24 hours per week.
Applicants must meet the following general requirements:
Required Education & Certificates:
Must have a minimum of 24 units in early childhood education from an accredited college or university.
AA in ECE or ECE Teaching Certificate (preferred)
The units specified must cover Child Growth and Development, Child-Family and Community, Infant Toddler (preferred), and two Program-Curriculum classes.
Background Clearance, Pediatric First Aid & CPR Training, Mandated Reporter Certificate, Pesticide Training Certificate.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Passionate about early childhood education and working with children
Positive attitude, warm and friendly
Patient demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have a clear understanding of child development in order to assess and meet the needs of children.
Must facilitate developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor curriculum, including significant “hands-on” sensory, science, and art experiences.
Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
Ensure a fun and safe learning environment
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students
Must be able to supervise an assigned teaching assistant
Must be able to manage a classroom using positive and effective methods
Compensation: Hourly Position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 starting wage per hour (depending on education and experience)
