Senior Accountant, SEC & Financial Reporting - Houston, TX
The Senior Accountant, specializing in SEC & Financial Reporting, will hold a pivotal position in both external and internal management reporting. Collaborating closely with managers, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, regional finance teams, and corporate accounting, this individual will consolidate the Company's results. Furthermore, they will be tasked with preparing the Company's disclosures for its 10-Q and 10-K reports and will have primary responsibility for preparing reports for government agencies and standalone entity audits. A successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnotes in compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards
• Execution of consolidation and intercompany elimination entries
• Coordination of monthly internal reporting and analysis package, streamlining processes and enhancing content in collaboration with business unit finance teams
• Preparation of support for external auditors
• Creation of external audited financial statements and footnotes for separate entities
• Assistance in optimizing consolidation and reporting procedures to expedite closure and reporting of results
• Participation in special projects as assigned
• Ensuring compliance with XBRL reporting requirements
• Contribution to the preparation of materials for the Company's Audit Committee of the Board of Directors Meetings

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting and/or public accounting, with a preference for at least 2 years of public accounting experience
• Knowledge of the hotel industry and previous SEC and financial experience are advantageous.
