Honeywell is seeking a Director,Communications, reporting to the Vice President, Executive and InternalCommunications and Corporate Social Responsibility, based in Charlotte, NorthCarolina. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced, poised, andsavvy communications professional who wants to support a growth-oriented leaderand help shape the future.
This leader will deliver strategic internal communicationscounsel and support to the Executive Office. The work involves a significantamount of writing – requiring a high level of business acumen and deepexperience in crafting effective messaging for top leadership in complexorganizations. They must demonstrate an understanding of the businessenvironment, a deep curiosity for learning the business, excitement aboutemployee engagement, and a passion for humanizing executive leadership.
This work involves leading a team thatoversees the support of the Executive Office. The work involves strategicplanning to support key CEO employee priorities, with a deep focus on deliveringrobust, sound communications plans and messaging, preparing the Executive Officefor key presentations and speaking opportunities, including Global TownMeeting, Manager Meetup, Ask Me Anything sessions, Employee Network events, executive-levelincentive communications, board remarks, community engagement remarks, LinkedIncontent, and more.
Deep experience in message development and storytellingexperience and prowess is a must as this individual will help guide efforts toconsistently develop creative, compelling, and human-focused content thatconnects Honeywell employees with each other, leaders, and the company’sstrategic initiatives. Fluency in and passion for analytics is also imperativeas we seek to measure and interpret data that help us enhance our communicationpractices across the company.
The ideal candidate will be a confident,independent communications professional with a minimum of 15 years ofexperience, preferably from a corporate background and with proven track recordof driving executive communications success. This individual should haveoutstanding executive presence and a keen interest in understanding a business,a strong orientation toward process and organization, and the ability toinfluence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment.Outstanding written and verbal communication are required, as is AssociatedPress Style.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead message development and communications strategy, counsel, and delivery for the Executive Office to strengthen employee engagement and Honeywell’s positioning as a company focused on growth.
Drive the quality of communications by guiding content strategies that result in elegantly simple, visually compelling, and easily understandable communications.
Contribute to editorial planning/development in support of Honeywell’s drive for growth.
Support the execution of the annual Senior Leadership Meeting, quarterly Global Town Meetings, and functional town halls.
Lead a team that pulls the Executive Office Communications team into a strategic function.
Supportcross-company measurement of communications effectiveness and drive continuousimprovement.
