Job Details Job Location Support Services - Duluth, MN Description Diamond Willow Management is seeking a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to play a critical role in assisting, leading and supporting our Diamond Willow locations and our Keystone Bluffs location. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in healthcare administration, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality health services. The Director/ Assistant Director will contribute to the overall well-being of our communities by ensuring the provision of excellent healthcare services are met. The Director of Nursing-AL is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, analyzing and evaluating the nursing services of the department, as well as supervising members of the nursing team and others as assigned, in order to provide effective nursing services that meet practice and quality standards in the Assisted Living. Provides or delegates nursing and related services. This position may require additional hours of work on evenings and weekends outside of their normal schedule and be on-call for consultation when emergent issues arise in order to insure the safety and proper care of all residents. Responsibilities: Ensure all nursing services provided meet Home Care & Assisted Living Laws & Rules under 144G.08- 144G.9999 Ability to lead both licensed and non-licensed nursing staff Monitor and assess resident's care plan to ensure accuracy in level of care Partner with Administrator to grow and maintain resident census Desire for community outreach to grow resident referral source base Provide timely screening for perspective residents Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet the acuity of residents according to budget Understanding of nursing department's revenue and expense to meet budget Understand case mix of the Elderly Waiver rate tool and advocate for adjustments when appropriate. Communicating with Administrator & Scheduler/On boarder to address any care staffing issues Collaborate with other departments to build a strong leadership team Ability to assist residents and families with compassionate care Updating families on any changes in resident care status Requirements: 5 Years of RN Assisted Living experience 3 years as active DON/ADON Must be able to occasionally fill in when needed. Which may be a night, afternoon or weekend shift. On-call.
