Job Summary:
Desert Toyota of Tucson, a leading automotive dealership in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Technician to join our team. The Used Car Technician will have a broad range of experience and knowledge on most makes and models. (not just Toyota). Will also be responsible for performing maintenance and repair services on used vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition before being sold to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. 
Compensation & Benefits:
As a valued member of our team, the Used Car Technician will receive a competitive salary of $4,000 to $5,000 per month, paid semimonthly. Competitive salary based on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts.
Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, and maintenance services on used vehicles
• Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair and replace faulty parts and components
• Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose vehicle issues
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling tools and equipment
• Keep accurate records of all services performed on vehicles
• Communicate effectively with service team and customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs
• Stay updated on latest automotive technology and techniques through training and learning opportunities
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience (preferred) as a technician in an automotive dealership or repair shop. Must have own tools. 
• ASE certification is preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and precision in work
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
