We are The Pump People! National Pump Company is a Glendale, AZ headquartered manufacturer of a complete line of vertical line shaft turbine and submersible pumps for the municipal, residential, petroleum, agricultural, and industrial commercial markets. We have five (5) additional build and service locations throughout the United States to meet the needs of our customers.
We are seeking a Director of Sales. The Director of Sales will be responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and implementing all sales and business development activities. This position will formulate and execute sales plans and budgets consistent with and supportive of the company business plan. The director will ensures revenue goals are met or exceeded and develops markets in new industries and geographies.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Education/Certification
Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Ten or more years of related experience in business development, marketing and sales.
Five or more years of managerial experience and in managing volume selling.
Project and/or program management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute to achieve intended results.
Experience in facilitating group training and leadership development.
Knowledge of vertical turbine pumps and/or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of VAR, third party and direct distribution channels, pricing policies and promotion strategies.
Extensive knowledge of technology including trends, opportunities, and products.
Comprehensive knowledge of the internet including e-commerce, portals, and (SaaS).
Strong analytical skills to assess organizational needs and design effective solutions.
Excellent leadership abilities.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to write clearly and informatively.
Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to direct projects.
Proficiency in using tools and software for data analysis and presentation.
Demonstrated effectiveness in project management, prioritizing tasks, and adhering to timelines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Travel estimated at 30%.
