Duties * You will assist in areas of formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. * You will provide assistance with oversight and planning of financial/budgetary and program changes. * You will review, evaluate and perform data analysis of budget requests as well as obligation validations and expenditures with team oversight. * You will assist with data gathering from a variety of hard-copy and electronic source to extract costs, hours and other financial information from various financial systems to generate monthly financial plans. * You will apply financial management laws and regulations. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating financial performance data and budgetary problems to identify trends, develop funding projections and alternative solutions for programs in which requirements have changed significantly. GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting financial regulations, policies and operating instructions to research, analyze, and compile financial data to be used by management for planning financial/budgetary program changes decision making. You will serve in the Comptroller Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD).
