The Application Support Administrator manages and supports software applications and associated databases, ensuring a strong security posture. This position advises and consults with departments and applicable agencies on using software applications and web services. The Application Support Administrator is required to provide excellent customer service, resolve problems in a timely manner, communicate effectively, and be a positive contributor to the Denton County Technology Services team.
Installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades applications, associated databases, and web services.
Acts as the primary liaison between judicial departments and public safety agencies and the Public Safety and Courts Team.
Confers with users in planning, installing, and troubleshooting applications.
Monitors various applications utilizing server and application management tools. Secures judicial and public safety applications by assigning and auditing access levels.
Manages user and group permissions for supported applications.
Researches, evaluates, and proposes application solutions.
Tracks support tickets to maintain project timelines.
Develops internal software documentation for training and support.
Ensures data meets security, record retention, and backup requirements.
Verifies and maintains the integrity of judicial and public safety data.
Develops and supports integrations between applications.
Manages application projects as delegated by the team manager. Creates specialized reports as needed; documents all work and maintains related files and records. Provides status reports to the team manager.
Follows existing processes and recommends new processes to improve customer service and efficiency.
Coordinates training and provides educational opportunities to end-users.
Provides exceptional customer support to users.Follows county policies and best practices related to information security; exercises good judgment to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Denton County computer systems and electronic records; supports compliance with CJIS, HIPAA, and other information security regulations.
Displays and reflects the culture, mission, vision, values, and direction of the department.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Performs other related duties as required.
High School Diploma or GED and minimum of four years of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Previous experience in supporting Mark43 (CAD/RMS/MCT) and/or Tyler Technologies Odyssey applications preferred.
Position may require various computer or technical-related certifications.
Possession of a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver’s license within 90 days.
Must not have any Class B misdemeanors or higher convictions or deferred adjudications.
